I am sad to report the passing of former Redditch player Martyn Clark during the week.

Martyn was a lightning fast winger in the mid seventies who scored 16 tries in 34 games in 1974.

He went on to represent the county, before moving to the Middle East to work as a marine engineer.

Martyn is third from left in this photo of the 1984 Gateshead tour, one of the last times he played for the club.

Who else can you spot?

Martyn has requested that his ashes are spread on the old 1st team pitch, the scene of many of his try scoring exploits.

When this can be arranged it could be a good excuse for a few old boys to get together for a drink.
