Redditch Rugby Football Club - Office Bearers
A rugby club doesn’t run itself and over the years many people take on office to run the club. Redditch RFC has a rich tradition of selfless giving and the following lists remind us of who has shaped this club over more than 50 years.
However, back in the day, when Redditch played in Black and White, on the Birmingham Road, by Bordesley Garage, and drank in the Unicorn these people led the club:

Then, for the second time in its history Redditch RFC went to war.
After the re-formation in 1966 these lists show the names of people who, year after year have given sterling service in getting teams out, raising money and keeping the club together. Sadly, some from the early days have gone to the Big Rugby Club in Heaven and the likes of Frank Cardy, Roger Westwood, Tony Carr and Gus Glanville are fondly remembered.
Though these lists are more comprehensive than the Honours Board they do not go anywhere near listing all who passed through the doors from the ladies making the tea, the children getting in the way, the social committee who kept us entertained to the players who turned out week in week out, collected the shirts and run the raffles.
To all of them – thank you – long may it continue.
