Redditch started slowly, with many high tackles missing their man. As arms were flung out the big, Birmingham bruisers brushed by showing disdain for the ineffectual tackling.

Redditch were slow to react to 3 penalties against them and the Exiles took full advantage, to run in three tries and go to a 21 point lead after 35 minutes.

Redditch stiffened their resolve to score tries either side of half way, but this seemed to spur on the visitors who ran in a further 3 tries, one of which came from a delightful planned move executed perfectly.

Determined not to lie down Redditch came back with two further tries, eventually scoring the 4th within kicking range for captain Will Spires.

This earned Redditch a bonus point and they hammered away at the tiring visitors pack but could not breach the defence again.

The final word went to the Exiles as they broke away to score wide out leaving the score at 22-45 in an entertaining match which produced 11 tries.

Next week we travel to Evesham for another rearranged match.
