Redditch travelled to Stourport and came away with a deserved win even though they were kept honest by the big Stourport side.

It was a real family day as Redditch fielded father and son, Richie and Archie Beddard, brothers Matt and Sid Allen, and brothers AJ and Matt Taylor.

Archie was also man of the match.

Redditch started slowly and went to a 0-10 deficit midway through the first half.  However they brought it back with a fine try to Will Heath and a stedy stream of kicks from Archie Beddard.

The forwards warmed to their task in the hot weather and finished well on top of the larger Stourport pack.

The final result of 10-19 takes Redditch to 4th on the league table.

An injury to Matt Taylor marred the day but latest reports indicate that no lasting damage has been done and all relevant tests have been passed.

Matt would like to thank everyone who assisted him on the day.

See match report for full details.

We travel the short hop across to Hopwood to meet Five Ways Old Edwardians next Saturday.
