It was all smiles at Redditch RFC on Saturday as the Kingfishers finally started as they meant to go on with strong tackles and set piece which led to the first try and an ascendency over the visitors which hasn't been seen for several weeks.
The 40-3 scoreline was a reflection of the hard work that has been put in on the training pitch. (see match report for details)
And for the first time this season The Exiles dusted off the Pink Kit and showed us their style. Sadly they lost to an Old Yardleians' Development Squad by 14-64. THey had some decent young players and we had some rusty, old fossils - but a good time was had by all. It was great to see our more mature players out in force with a special thanks to Stu Hope who took up yhe whistle at short notice.
Next week we travel to Stourport for the postponed fixture, referee permitting.
