Following the last 2 weeks of shock and drama the Redditch Rugby family is back in action this week with the postponed League Match away to Fiveways and the seconds in Merit team action at Bromsgrove Road.
Fiveways have generously offerred to do some fundraising at today's match in aid of Ash Mooney's gofund.me page.
Everyone at the club have been surprised and gratified at how the whole community have come together to support Ash after his on field injury 2 weeks ago.
There has been a huge response from friends and family, and an even greater response from the Rugby Community.
Clubs in our league have been magnificent in their good wishes and donations, as well as offers to play matches and do fundraising as the season progresses.
Players and officials from far and wide have been generous in their support including video messages from Johhny Wilkinson and Eddie Jones.
Our first major fund raiser at the club will be a Comedy Night on Thursday October 28th. All the comedians have donated their time and it promises to be a great night.
We wish Ash and his family all the best for the future and thank everyone for their good wishes and kind donations.
It has proved a massive boost for Ash to know that he is not alone in his recovery.
