Redditch welcomed Greyhound in the League and Evesham Vets in the older gentlemen's match.
The Exiles were supported by many faces from yesteryear who turned out in force. Evesham vets were also well supported and, with an early kick off for the firsts spectators were torn between two matches.
The Exiles was a feast of try scoring and the final score remains a mystery.
On the main pitch Redditch dominated in the scrums and lineouts but Greyhound tackled with determination and vigour, often causing the Redditch attacks to break down. Redditch turned the ball back inside far too often and became predictable in attack, making the Greyhound job far easier. That said Redditch were able to score 4 tries and a conversion to record a 22-0 bonus point win. (see match report).
In the bar afterwards players and supporters from both clubs dug deep to support the Ashley Mooney fund raising effort, with special thanks going to the Evesham Club for a magnificent response.
Next week we are away to Keresley.
