First Test of the New Year

Redditch will welcome Bishop's Castle and Onwy Valley to Bromsgrove Road for their opening League match of the year.

Last week's debutants Laurence Bush and David Roberts are replaced by the experienced Craig Martin and more youthful AJ Bennet respectively after suffering minor injuries in last weeks win.

Craig is joined in the second row by Matt Allen who in turn is replaced at no 8 by Clarke Parker. Joe Looker will start on the side of the scrum.

Redditch are hoping the fine form of props Sid Allen and MIke Adams who were full of running last time out will continue.

The home side will need to maintain last week's defensive effort to make sure that the soft tries scored in the away fixture are not repeated.

Kick off is at 2:15 and all supporters will be given a warm welcome.
