After all the training over the summer it is now down to business as we take on Evesham at Bromsgrove Road in the opening round of this season's League programme.

Last years results went with home ground advantage with bothe teams winning comfortably at home.

So Redditch will be looking to repeat their home victory.

The Kingfishers have most of the team from that match available and they will be looking to carry on from where they left off. Retiring captain Aaron Atkinson returns at full back.

The bench will provide for the welcome return of stalwart front rowers Richard Beddard and Dan Oscroft. Harvey Habgood and newcomer Matt Taylor will provide plenty of speed off the bench while AJ Lewis will provide impact at scrum half.

With a strong pack and the backs benefitting from sound coaching from Dave and Scotty Redditch should provide an organised, structured game which should be too strong for Evesham 2nd.

Kick off is at 3:00pm at Bromsgrove Road.
