Redditch face a challenging assignment this afternoon as they take on table topping Birmingham & Solihull. at Bromsgrove Road.

The size of the challenge is indicated by the points differential - The Bees +436 versus The Kingfishers +28.

That said last weekend saw Redditch put together a very steady performance against the big Atherstone side. Good performances at lineout and scrum was assisted by some strong tackling.

Redditch were able to start well and did not have to play catchup as they controlled the game from beginning to end.

The score of 38-3 in the first round was no reflection of the game as Redditch ran their hosts close for large portions of the game.

As key players return from injury the 2nds will also be at home to Stourbridge Grasshoppers, who they have played regularly throughout this season.

As they know, this is always a tough assignment and skipper Loran will be hoping for a big showing from his charges.

Both games kick off at 3:00pm
