Following heroic performance against Worcester Redditch picked up several injuries and were unable to field a competitive team for the trip to Hereford.

However with the coach booked and paid for we opted to play the match as a friendly and give Hereford the bonus point win.

Playing with some adapted rules and 12 aside Redditch played their hearts out against the very strong table topping Hereford side, scoring 4 tries in the process, something not done by too many sides at the Riverside this season.

The final score of 60-26 was irrelevant as the official scoreline was 0-0.

Aaron Atknson (2), Matt Allen and Michael Allen scored tries for Redditch while James Mills converted 3 of these.

Branden Paterson won the man of the match award after a strong performance on his debut for Redditch.

Things will become a lot more serious next Saturday as we host local rivals Five Ways Old Edwardians at Bromsgrove road with kick off at 2:15 pm.
