Redditch Rugby Club banded together for its annual Odd Socks Day raising money for Downs Syndrome and particularly Pitcheroak School.
On Thursday NIght Chairman Brian and President Chris sat down (with a little help from interested spectators) and selected the teams the old fashioned way - one pick each.
The close result on the day 29-22 to Brian's team showed how accurate the picking was and it was only the Redditch wind that separated the teams in each half.
It was fantastic to see a feast of running rugby as well as some old scores being settled in a most light hearted manner.
The many new players recruited this year gelled with the veterans who turned out giving a great display.
A big thank you to Harvey Habgood and his team for the organisational effort and to the bakers from Ladies Hockey who donated half their Bake Sale profits on the day to the cause.
A great day out and a great result for the charities.
