The curse of the rearranged fixture landed on Redditch RFC as we were forced to take an understrength team across to Kereesley for the replay of the fixture which had been postponed very late in the day.
Injuries and unavailabilities hit the squad hard but the boys selected left Redditch full of hope for the long trip over to Coventry.
Will Spiers was a virgin at scrum half and youngster Jack Shelton fronted up in the centres.
Redditch started brightly with a trademark storming run by Captain MAtt Allen to score a try which was duly converted.
A penalty within range was taken, following Matt's policy of taking any points that are on offer.
This put Redditch 10 points ahead, but that was the last points they were to score.
Keresley tightened the screws and, with Redditch suffering a few knocks and being forced into making positional changes, they gradually forced their way back into the game.
22 unanswered points, including 4 tries, gave the home side the bonus point win, which did not reflect the effort put in by the boys in blue.
