Redditch welcomed Malvern 2nds to Bromsgrove but were unable to reproduce the form of last week.
Malvern, who had received a lesson from Chaddersley Corbett last weekend, arrived with a much changed side that looked and played much more like the side which finished 3rd last season, narrowly missing promotion.
That siad the first half was a tight affair with dropped balls and crashing defence being the order of the day. Redditch held out bravely despite being on the receiving end of most penalties and injuries.
It was the 37th minute before the visiting backs clicked into gear and showed their true potential crossing for a converted try. They followed this with a penalty to change ends 10 points to the good.
Redditch started brightly and a set move saw Mark Green dragged down inches from the line. A poor pass from the ruck saw Malvern scoop up the loose ball and run the length of the field.
This ended the game as a contest as Malvern built on their lead as Redditch struggled to stay in the contest.
The final margin was 45 points, but Redditch hae a fortnight to repair their injuries and come back strongly agains Bromyard on the 17th October.
