Redditch took on Worcester whose teams are having a fantastic season.
However this almost came crashing down as the home side pushed them every inch of the way before failing to achieve an unlikely victory by a solitary point.
Fielding a full squad for the first time for several matches Redditch reserves were called into action as Tom Dickens went down valiantly trying to save a try after 5 minutes.
After conceding a 17 point lead Redditch had no thought of giving way, and Worcester soon knew they were in a game as powerful forward drives were rewarded with tries eventually taking Redditch to a 19-17 lead.
But Worcester retook the lead with a try and Redditch responded with one of their own and a bonus point.
A trademark intercept saw Harvey Habgood show a clean pair of heels to score under the posts with the conversion taking the lead to 33-22.
However Redditch are not used to winning and Worcester are.
As Redditch gave away a stream of penalties Worcester siezed the advantage to score twice in the dying moments of the game leaving the final conversion attempt to send the game either way. This time the visiting kicker struck the ball cleanly and straight to give the visitors a thrilling victory.
Though beaten, Redditch can take great heart from this match as there is still room for improvement with the high penalty count and poor handling spoiling an otherwise impressive performance.
