Redditch travelled over to Hopwood on Friday night to take on Five Ways Old Edwardians in a friendly.

In a lively encounter Redditch ran out comfortable winners at 21-38 with 6 tries to 3.

Whilst the score see-sawed during the first half hour the Redditch back line finally exerted their superiority.  Led by Joe Morgan, home from Uni, who continually beat his man and combined well with Jack Mehrtens. the Redditch backs showed that they have the speed and combination to score tries.

In the latter stages coach Stu Brooks used the opportuniy to mix things up in the back line trying new combinations in preparation for the visit of Stourport next Saturday, with kick off at 3:00pm.

And finally a big congratulations to Harry Rutter who scored his first try for the club.
